🌿 Why Wetlands Matter💧
Wetlands are some of the most important ecosystems on Earth, and here’s why:
🌍 Biodiversity Hotspots – They’re home to 40% of the world’s species, from birds to fish and amphibians.
💧 Nature’s Water Filters – Wetlands remove pollutants, ensuring cleaner water for all.
🌊 Flood Protection – They absorb excess water, reducing the impact of floods and storms.
🌍 Climate Heroes – Wetlands store more carbon than forests, helping to fight climate change.
🐟 Essential for Life – Wetlands provide breeding grounds and food for countless species.

NATURE GUERNSEY, part of La Société, was set up in 2018 to organise events aimed at families.

As well as engaging existing members, Nature Guernsey aims to introduce the organisation to non-members who may not be aware of the environmental work of La Société or the benefits of joining.
