Friday 1st September | 9:30am – 10:45am, at Pleinmont. Meeting at the Motocross (Scramble) Track Carpark.
Join us for a morning bird walk as we look out for migratory birds passing over the island. Our islands come into their own during migration season, when many birds stop off en route to rest and there is always the chance of bumping into a long-distant vagrant or rarity. September and October are probably the peak months for interesting migrants and one may see good numbers of warblers, finches, thrushes, waders, seabirds or birds of prey depending on the conditions.
We will provide a spotter sheet and try to tick off as many birds as we can on our walk!
To register interest in this event, please contact Sarah at eca@societe.org.gg with children’s names.
Please wear sensible footwear. Children’s binoculars can be provided, however if you do have your own pair, please do bring them along!
