Archaeology Site Visit Les Fouaillages
Wednesday 8th July, 2pm
Location: what3words: work.remodels.verse
To get there, head along Les Amarreurs Road towards the coast, and you will find signposts to guide you.
A team of archaeologists from France and the UK are working in Guernsey and Herm looking for evidence of Neolithic settlement in the islands. The team is currently in Herm excavating in the area of Robert’s Cross and next week will move to a site in the vicinity of Les Fouaillages dolmen on L’Ancresse Common. Project leaders Hélène Pioffet and Chris Scarre have kindly offered us a site visit where you can hear about the NEOSET project and see how the work is progressing this year.
All Societe members are welcome and if you would like more information about these visits please contact Tanya at Archaeology@societe.org.gg
