La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 to host a talk about the ozone hole and climate change by Jonathan Shanklin \u201cVoyages to Antarctica \u2013 the ozone hole and climate change\u201d <\/p>\n

Join us on Tuesday 7th November at 6.30pm at the main hall of Les Varendes (LOCATION TBC)<\/p>\n

Jonathan will describe some of his visits to Antarctica, then focus on two major environmental issues: the ozone hole and climate change. Occasionally signs of ozone depletion might be seen from Guernsey and one day climate change will have a major impact on the island. Come and find out what you might see in Antarctica and why climate change matters.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Shanklin is an emeritus fellow at the British Antarctic Survey and was one of the scientists who discovered the Antarctic ozone hole.<\/p>\n

The talk will be held at the main hall at Les Varendes (that’s the old Grammar) 0n Tuesday 7th November starting at 6:30pm.<\/a><\/p>\n
