Le Grande Pré is a nature reserve on the island which is owned by the States of Guernsey\, but has long been managed by La Société. The reserve is one of the largest surviving areas of wetland and reed beds we have\, and therefore is an important habitat for an array of local wildlife\, but in particular breeding birds.  \nBird ringing helps provide us with a better understanding of the populations and distribution of our local birds.
