DESCRIPTION:Junior Event – Rock Pooling \nSunday 29th October | 12:00 – 13:30pm\, at Belle Greve Bay.  \nCome along and join us rock pooling to see what we can discover at low tide. We’ll be looking for all sorts of marine life such as crabs\, fish\, anemones\, squat lobsters\, starfish and hopefully lots more! Please note: we will be handling any creatures gently and ensuring we leave the rock pools exactly as we found them. \nWe will meet at the bottom of the slipway. SUMMARY:Junior Event – Crab Surveying
DESCRIPTION:Junior Event – Crab Surveying\nSaturday 29th July | 10:30am – 11:30am\, at Portelet Bay  \nCome along and help us survey our local crabs! Crabs are a really good marker of our coastal environment and crab surveying helps us assess the status and health of our local crabs\, population changes of native and non-native species\, and also helps us to monitor human impact on marine life. Crabs are easily impacted by human activities\, including warming seas\, the introduction of invasive species and overexploitation. This makes them an ideal subject to help indicate how oceans are changing and the impacts of these threats.
