Small Mammal Group Imperial College, London - a talk entitled "Of Mice and Voles" by Ellie Scholes and Alex Hayward, Frossard Theatre, Candie.

Over the Summer two masters students from Imperial College, London carried out a study on the small mammals of Guernsey. They have returned for this talk to present their results including new insights into the ecology and evolution of small mammals on Guernsey. All welcome.

Archaeology Talk "Life and Death on Longis: the latest finds from Alderney" by Philip de Jersey, Jason Monaghan and Tanya Walls. Frossard Thetare, Candie at 7.30pm.

"The Nunnery" at Longis Bay is the only surviving Roman fort in the Channel Islands and is remarkably well-preserved. Since the 19th century there have been frequent discoveries of Iron Age and Roman remains on Longis Common. This talk will discuss the latest thoughts about the fort and the most recent discoveries from the Common;including an account of the excavations carried out in July this year. All welcome.
